Religion
I grew up in a religious home, went to a religious college and am now trying to live my life not as a religious person but as a Christ Follower. I like many others struggle with faith and have doubts. I know God has a plan for me, sometimes I just wish he would show it me.

I have been so tired the past few weeks. Fighting off illness, and it being my busy time at work has really taken a toll on my mind, body, and spirit. Even though I am weary I find rest in the verse above. (more…)

I feel like we dropped the ball with Madilyn concerning the importance of Bible memorization. With Caleb it was easy. We went to a church that had an Awana’s program. The Awana program is designed for students to learn and memorize scripture. He also went to a private Christian school that focused on the importance of verse memorization. (more…)

Love has become a very overused word in our vocabulary. One minute we say “I love my husband” and then in the next we say, “I love pizza.” Wow, our feelings for our husband and pizza are described using the same word. (more…)

I have a hard time accepting that people change. I do not know why I have a hard time accepting it but I do. It is hard for me to see that someone who abused their first wife has changed and no longer is an abuser. (more…)

I find the life story of Joseph to be fascinating. The story of Joseph unfolds in Genesis chapters 37-50. He is the long awaited son of his mother. He is a favorite of his father. He seems to have a pretty good life until his brothers become jealous and sell him as a slave. (more…)
