Our kid free vacation ended today. We decided to take the long way home in order to stop by Mercier Orchards. We wanted to pick up a few goodies for ourselves and for my sister as a thank you for staying with the kids. It was a beautiful day for a drive in the North Georgia Mountains. I had never been to Mercier Orchards and was impressed with the large selection of goods they had to choose from.
We arrived home just after noon. Madilyn was so excited to see us. I really missed my kids. As much as I missed them I am glad that we were able to get away. I believe that in order to have a healthy marriage couples need to occasionally have time away from their children and other life distractions. I am thankful that twice this year our family has come to stay with the kids so that David and I could get away.
